Garnet Marketplace is a Shopify app. It is built on top of Shopify's GraphQL API.
Shopify manages the customer-facing part of the business: customer see products on a Shopify, they can add products to their cart and checkout.
Garnet Marketplace manages the vendor-facing part: vendors can manage their products, inventory, orders, and more.

What happens when an order includes multiple vendors?
Garnet Marketplace takes care of everything. All different components of the order are split per vendor: line items, shipping, taxes, discounts.

Yes. It is important for a marketplace to validate the content before products are approved. Hence Garnet Marketplace offers an additional step for the marketplace to approve the products.
If there are vendors you trust, you can always enable auto-approval for them.
