Shipturtle vs Garnet

Both turn a Shopify store into a multi-vendor marketplace. Shipturtle prices by order volume and offers a long list of automations; Garnet focuses on vendor experience, real-time store sync across many e-commerce platforms and hands-on support. Here is how they differ, and what a marketplace that migrated to Garnet got out of it.

The short answer

Choose Shipturtle if you want published self-serve prices, many workflow automations and a broad list of shipping carriers. ChooseGarnet if your vendors sell on many platforms, your order volume will grow past fixed monthly caps, and you want a team that builds what you need.

Limits as you grow

Shipturtle's plans are capped by orders per month (1,000 on Business, 5,000 on Enterprise) and by products and vendors on the lower plans. That keeps the first months predictable, but a successful marketplace moves up plans quickly. Garnet sets no cap on vendors or orders.

Vendor sync and onboarding

Shipturtle syncs vendor stores from Shopify only: it has no vendor store sync with WooCommerce. Garnet connects Shopify and WooCommerce stores, plus PrestaShop, Magento, BigCommerce, Wix and Squarespace stores, imports Etsy shops, and accepts feeds, Google Sheets and an API for everything else. For marketplaces recruiting European brands, PrestaShop support often decides it: The Bradery connected PrestaShop brands this way.

Support

Shipturtle's support level depends on the plan, from email to a dedicated manager on Elite. Garnet's founders and team answer support directly on every plan, and build custom features when a marketplace needs them.

Switching from Shipturtle

Garnet reads products and orders from Shopify, so it can run next to your current app while you switch. Products are assigned to vendors by their Shopify vendor name, past orders are imported and split by vendor, and we prepare vendor accounts for you from a CSV export when you have more than 50 vendors.

Example from a marketplace that migrated

Bazaa, a furniture and home marketplace in Australia, migrated its marketplace to Garnet. In just 12 months, they grew from 400 to 1,000+ vendors, significantly expanding their catalog and ultimately increasing revenue.

This growth was largely driven by the ease of onboarding new vendors, technical adjustments to accommodate the local shipping system, and several industry-specific customizations.

Result: from A$1M to A$5M annualized sales in the 12 months after the switch.

"The platform's integrations and customizations helped us solve critical industry challenges, particularly around logistics and vendor onboarding."

Thibault Henry, Bazaa (Australia)
