Project

Bazaa operates in the furniture industry, a marketplace model with unique constraints: products are large, deliveries are complex, and in Australia, vast distances make logistics a critical competitive factor. Their previous marketplace solution was too slow and complex, creating friction for vendors and ultimately holding back their growth. To overcome these challenges, they chose to partner with Garnet.

Through this partnership, Garnet:

  • Managed the full end-to-end migration of vendors and their e-commerce integrations, working closely with Bazaa team.
  • Provided a more scalable platform, vendor-friendly platform, supported by highly responsive customer support team.
  • Developed the Squarespace integration, to allow vendors already on Squarespace to import and sync their product catalogues with minimal effort.
  • Integrated Bazaa's own logistics API, automatically routing delivery requests to local movers based on the customer's ZIP code, making large items delivery fast, affordable, and scalable across Australia.
  • Enabled a local pickup option for vendors, allowing them to offer in-person collection and eliminate logistics costs for nearby buyers.
  • Developed a "Make An Offer" feature, letting buyers negotiate prices directly with vendors, increasing engagement and conversion rates on the platform.

Thanks to Garnet, Bazaa scaled its vendor base exponentially, and significantly improved buyer conversion rate, leading to a strong growth from $1M to $5M in annualized sales in 1 year.
