MadeIt is one of Australia’s largest handmade marketplaces, hosting 1,000+ independent artisans. Before partnering with Garnet, the marketplace operated on another Shopify multi-vendor provider, but the technology proved increasingly unreliable: vendors lacked autonomy, support delays created operational bottlenecks, and overall platform instability slowed down both daily operations and long-term marketplace growth.
MadeIt needed a modern, stable, and scalable solution that could support their community of artisans while reducing operational complexity.
As part of the MadeIt × Garnet partnership, we delivered a complete modernization of the marketplace infrastructure, including:
- Full end-to-end migration, including products, orders, users, and artisan configurations
- Onboarding on a more reliable platform with stabilized performance, an improved artisan interface, and responsive customer support
- Automated artisan payouts through Stripe integration, reducing manual work for the MadeIt team
- Enhanced artisan experience with a set of artisan-centric features such as customizable profile pages, synchronization with the existing website, product-level shipping rules, live messaging moderation, and more
Thanks to this partnership, MadeIt has reduced its operational workload by 40%, freeing time for more strategic initiatives, and has significantly increased artisan satisfaction and retention, with sellers now enjoying a more reliable platform and greater autonomy.
