Marketplace integration software

Garnet syncs your vendors' existing Shopify, WooCommerce, and PrestaShop stores straight into your marketplace. Products, stock, orders, and tracking stay accurate in real time, so vendors keep working in the tools they already know and you skip the CSV shuffle.

What is marketplace integration software?

Marketplace integration software connects your vendors' existing online stores to the marketplace you run, so their products, stock, orders, and tracking sync automatically instead of by hand. It is not channel software for selling your own catalog on Amazon or eBay. Garnet Marketplace, a Shopify multi-vendor marketplace app, adds this vendor-sync layer on top of your Shopify store.

One clarification first, because the search results blend two products. Most tools that rank for ecommerce marketplace integration, such as ChannelAdvisor and Feedonomics, help a single seller list their own goods on other people's marketplaces. This page is the other job: pulling many independent vendors' stores into the marketplace you operate. Your vendors already sell somewhere. WooCommerce alone powers about a third of all online stores, and Shopify counts millions of merchants, so most arrive with a live catalog worth plugging in rather than retyping.

What syncs, and how fast

Every native integration moves the same data in the same direction. These figures come from live Garnet marketplaces running Shopify vendor stores.

Real-time Shopify marketplace integration

Here is the part most marketplace apps skip. A vendor who already runs a Shopify store adds the free Garnet Seller sales channel, and their catalog connects live. No CSV export, no nightly batch, no re-keying. When they change a price or sell a unit on their own storefront, your marketplace sees it in about 0.2 to 0.3 seconds.

Plenty of tools call themselves a marketplace integration tool while only offering a scheduled CSV import. That gap shows up as oversells and stale prices the moment a vendor gets busy. Garnet keeps the vendor's store and your marketplace on the same numbers, both ways. Vegan America uses this to onboard food vendors in minutes rather than days.

Vendors on WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Nuvemshop, Squarespace, and more get the same live connection. And when a vendor runs something custom, a marketplace API integration, a CSV or XML feed, or a Google Sheet covers them. Compare the wider category on the marketplace software page.

Reliable integrations for a scalable marketplace

Garnet is designed so that any vendor can start creating and managing products and orders directly in Garnet. As your marketplace grows, you can also onboard vendors who already operate stores on different third-party eCommerce platforms, which can quickly become complex for them.

To solve this, we have developed a broad range of native integrations to connect Garnet to vendors' existing systems in real time. Each integration is carefully designed to make vendor onboarding fast and reliable, without disrupting the vendor's existing workflow.

Through these integrations, Garnet ensures that:

  • Products are listed and updated automatically
  • Inventory levels stay accurate across platforms
  • Orders are routed and processed correctly
  • Vendors continue working in tools they already use

These integrations are built for scale, allowing you to onboard new vendors faster.

Our eCommerce integrations

As a marketplace integration platform, Garnet connects each vendor's store, feed, or spreadsheet to your catalog. Vendors link their existing third-party stores and tools directly to your marketplace, and every integration is documented, secure, and built for automatic synchronization of products, inventory, and orders.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about our integrations? We've got answers!

Ask a Question
  • How can eCommerce integrations improve my marketplace?

Vendor onboarding shouldn't be painful. With our integrations, vendors can be onboarded in a few minutes, making it a no-brainer for them.

See our testimonial from Vegan America on vendor onboarding.

  • Do vendors receive customer contact information with orders?

Vendors receive the customer's name and shipping address, but email addresses are obfuscated for privacy. This prevents vendor mailing automation from sending unwanted emails that could confuse customers. Learn more in our order synchronization documentation.

  • Can Garnet handle integrations for legacy eCommerce systems?

Yes, as always there are 2 options: use existing integrations such as the CSV/XML integration, or contact us to develop a custom integration with your legacy tool.

  • How fast is the product synchronization?

It depends on the integration. For example, for a Shopify integration, the initial import processes around 50-180 products per minute. After that, individual updates are reflected in under a second - typically 0.2-0.3 seconds for price, stock, and order updates.

  • Can I control which products are synchronized to the marketplace?

Yes. You can enable selective synchronization where the marketplace chooses which vendor products to import. Search and filter products by tag, title, SKU, and more to accept only the products that fit your catalog.

  • Is marketplace integration software the same as software for selling on Amazon or eBay?

No. Channel tools like ChannelAdvisor or Feedonomics push your own catalog out to Amazon, eBay, and Walmart. Garnet does the opposite: it syncs your independent vendors' existing stores into the marketplace you operate, so they sell on your storefront and you take a commission.

  • If a vendor uses an integrated platform, are their orders fulfilled in their native system?

Yes. When an order is placed on the marketplace, it is automatically forwarded to the vendor's native system (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce). The vendor fulfills the order in their usual workflow, and tracking information syncs back to the marketplace in real-time. Stock levels are also decremented automatically across both platforms.

  • Does Garnet support product variants, attributes, and complex SKUs?

Yes, this is something included in all integrations. Product variants, attributes, and complex SKUs are fully supported across all connected platforms.

  • Can vendors adjust their prices for the marketplace?

Yes. Vendors can apply price transformations using a flat fee, a percentage multiplier, or both. For example, a vendor can add $4 to all products or increase prices by 20% to cover marketplace commission or shipping costs.

  • What happens if a vendor disconnects their integration?

When a vendor disconnects, their products remain on the marketplace but are no longer synchronized. Products and orders will stop updating automatically. The vendor can reconnect at any time to resume synchronization.

  • Is there a cost for vendors to use the integrations?

No, the Garnet Seller app and all integrations are free for vendors. Vendors simply install the app on their platform and connect using the integration key provided by the marketplace.

  • Do you offer a marketplace API integration for custom or legacy platforms?

Yes. Vendors on a platform without a native connector can push their catalog through the Garnet API, a CSV or XML feed, or Google Sheets. For a bespoke system, contact us and we will assess a custom integration.
