Garnet fits rental marketplaces where the model is list an item, book a period, return it: cameras and drones, tools and construction equipment, event and party gear, outdoor and sports kit, musical instruments, and B2B equipment fleets. The common thread is many owners renting physical goods, which is the marketplace problem Garnet was built for.
It is honest to name the seam. Garnet supplies the vendor accounts, commissions, order splitting, and payouts. A Shopify rental app supplies the calendar. Neither one alone is a rental marketplace; together they are.
Garnet already powers high-volume peer marketplaces. My Next Bike, the UK's largest second-hand bike marketplace, runs 3,000+ sellers on Garnet with a single login for buyers and sellers. That is resale rather than rental, but it is the same job at scale: onboard many owners, split the money, pay everyone. The rental layer is the one piece you add on top.
The demand is real. The global sharing economy is projected to reach $827.1 billion by 2032, growing at 7.7% a year (Allied Market Research).
