What is a Vinted clone?

What Garnet does not copy from Vinted
An honest reframing works both ways. Garnet gives you Vinted's core mechanics, but it is not a pixel-for-pixel Vinted, and two differences are worth naming before you start.
First, the fee model. Vinted charges buyers a protection fee and lets sellers list for free. Garnet uses Shopify checkout and a commission you set on each sale, so you decide who absorbs the cost. Second, buyer protection. Vinted holds funds in an escrow-style flow until an item arrives. Garnet can hold payouts until an order is delivered, which does the same practical job, but it is payout timing you control rather than a licensed escrow account.
If a regulated escrow layer or free-to-list-for-sellers economics are non-negotiable for your model, a purpose-built Vinted clone that ships those may fit better, along with the hosting that comes with it. For most resale operators, Shopify plus a commission is simpler and cheaper to run.
What does a Vinted clone really cost?
Clone vendors lead with a one-time price, often a few hundred to a few thousand dollars for lifetime source code. That figure is the smallest line on the invoice. A resale marketplace you host also needs a server, a developer to install and customize it, ongoing security updates, and every payment, messaging, and shipping integration you bolt on after launch.
