31 Mar - We are brewing a new app

The Garnet team worked the whole month on a brand new app leveraging the best of Garnet into a smaller, simpler, and cheaper app. Stay tuned!

4 Mar - Specification date picker

Garnet now supports the date picker specification type. This type allows vendors to select a date from a calendar.

27 Feb - Fix out-of-stock display

When a product was unpublished, it was still displayed in the product list. This is now fixed.

27 Feb - Add German, French, Spanish and Dutch languages

Garnet Marketplace is now available in German, French, Spanish and Dutch. Languages are defined based on the browser's default language.

25 Feb - Vendor page approval revamp

Following the product page approval revamp, the vendor page only needs to be approved once as well. We took this opportunity to improve the design and make it the interface nicer and similar to the product page.

Here what changed:

1. The vendor page only needs to be approved once,
2. The vendor page is now more compact and easier to read,
3. There is no more saving state before approval. What is on Garnet is always up to date with Shopify.
4. More vendor fields are now available. They are now as flexible as product specifications.

Now at one glance the vendor can see the status of their vendor page. How marvelous!

22 Feb - Product reference picker

The product reference picker is a new specification component that allows vendors to attach a product to another product.

21 Feb - Fix vendor sorting

In some cases, the vendor list was not sorted by the number of active products. This is now fixed.

20 Feb - Product edit revamp 🎉

The product list and edit pages have been revamped to provide a more user-friendly experience. The Garnet team improved what matters the most.

Changes related to the product edit page:

1. The product edit page loading time is now 21% faster,
2. Products only need to be approved once,
3. The vendor can unapprove products,
4. The product edit page has a new design with less information displayed,
5. Images can be reordered with drag-and-drop,
6. Products coming from e-commerce integrations will have context information displayed next to the product,
7. All product submissions are now draft products and can be used in automation flows with other apps,
8. Garnet media support has been extended: videos can be in .mov, .mp4, and .webm and images in .jpeg, .png, .webp, .heic, and .gif.

We would like to thank all the marketplaces that participated in the beta program and provided feedback that helped us improve the product list and edit pages.

20 Feb - Product list revamp 🎉

The product list and edit pages have been revamped to provide a more user-friendly experience. The Garnet team improved what matters the most.

Changes related to the product list:

1. The product list loading time is now 39% faster,
2. The product list is always up-to-date with the latest changes (before there could be a few seconds delay),
3. Specification filters were removed as they were not used by vendors,
4. Sorting products by Price has been removed for the same reason,
5. The product list is now sorted by Latest update by default,
6. The product list size has been increased to 50 products per page,
7. Marketplace bulk approval/unapproval is on average 60% faster,
8. Marketplace bulk deletion is now available,
9. Hover a line and click on the eye icon to open the product on the marketplace's website.

17 Feb - Update permissions

Garnet is updating its permissions as we are working on the next major version of the vendor management feature.

14 Feb - Integration skip price update

Using any e-commerce integration, the marketplace can now prevent price synchronization in Garnet > Settings > Integrations,

12 Feb - Complex refund support

Garnet's order split computation has been improved to take into account the most complex refund scenarios such as:

• an order has been edited,
• and refunded before being edited,
• with a partial shipping refund.

11 Feb - Roll out new product approval

We've been rolling out our new approval process for products. Existing marketplaces with conflicting workflows have been contacted and we are phasing out the old approval process.

5 Feb - Update permissions

Garnet is updating its permissions to comply with the latest Shopify specifications.

2 Feb - Shipping documentation revamp

Following yesterday's update, the shipping documentation has been revamped. We have aggregated several documentation pages and centralized all the necessary information in the following pages:

• Shipping overview,
• Flat shipping rates,
• Live shipping rates.

Also we updated the screenshots and videos to the new interface.

1 Feb - Live shipping rate (with Shippo)

The Garnet Team did an incredible job in providing a smoother experience for live shipping rates to your vendors.

Vendors only need to set their warehouse address and product size and all shipping rates will be automatically computed using your preferred third-party logistics providers.

We worked closely with two marketplaces to have this feature live and it brings a competitive advantage to their businesses as the rates are on average 1.7x cheaper.

27 Jan - Simpler vendor creation

Marketplace administrators will only need to set the vendor name and, optionally, the vendor email to create an account.

23 Jan - Admin users lists

22 Jan - Vendor can mark product as taxable

Marketplaces can now allow vendors to mark products as taxable. If the product is not taxable, no tax will be computed by Shopify at checkout.

22 Jan - User last login & created date

Marketplaces can now see the vendors' last login and created date. With this, you are sure your vendor managed to login and access their account.

21 Jan - Application, images and links

Vendor applications now contain rich display for links and images.

20 Jan - Image & video error report

If a vendor uploads media that is not allowed by Shopify, an error will show in the interface.

15 Jan - Order fulfillment

Garnet order view had a nice cosmetic upgrade! This prepares the interface for our next important features regarding third-party shipping.

What's new:

• The shipping cost is displayed on this page to the vendor
• The vendor will fulfill the order by opening a modal, they can then add their tracking details
• The notes section has a bigger dedicated space
• Fulfilled and unfulfilled orders now show similar information
• Shipping related information (such as weight and dimensions) are displayed in the fulfillment modal

13 Jan - Packing slip header

Marketplaces which configured their store logo will now have their branded banner at the top of their packing slip:

7 Jan - Switch vendor show vendor page approval

The marketplace can now see at a glance which vendors need their vendor page to be approved on the Switch vendor page.

6 Jan - Finance & free orders

When the vendor does not receive any payout for an order, finance line is marked as paid and will not show in the finance view.

2 Jan - Populate vendor component

We have a new theme component: the populate vendor component helps the marketplace to set the link from the vendor name to the vendor page.
